This review is for the dessert portion of my 13 course Chinese New Year dinner at Kirin Seafood Restaurant.
Kirin is a popular Chinese fine dining place to book private events and parties. They offer a variety of set menus for all occasions and this time I tried the Chinese New Year dinner banquet menu. It was 13 courses and I ate it all by myself…lol just kidding.
I attended The 11th Annual Healthy Chef Competition at The Hyatt Regency Vancouver. It’s an annual competition produced by The British Columbia Chefs’ Association (BCCA) and the British Columbia Produce Marketing Association (BCPMA). Here are my highlights after 5 entrees and 8 desserts
Top Pot Doughnuts are what doughnuts were meant to be. I feel like it’s the same doughnuts they eat on The Simpsons. Maybe it’s because they’re so big? I don’t know why…but I feel like if you looked up “good doughnut” you would find a Top Pot Doughnut.
Panaderia Latina Bakery specializes in authentic homemade Latin American baked goods – specifically Chilean baked goods and desserts. The ladies and bakers behind the counter are all from South America and you just know walking in that you are about to get the good stuff.
This is my 2nd review for El Inka Deli – an authentic hole in the wall restaurant located in the middle of nowhere in Burnaby, BC. El Inka Deli specializes in Peruvian and Columbian cuisine.
Mis Trucos serves individual tapas, share plates and big plates. They have a nice selection of Spanish wines as well as a few desserts. This review focuses on the dessert portion of dinner.
