I brought back some goodies exclusive to Hong Kong, Japan and various parts of Asia so here’s your chance to win and sample one!

Items to be won:

1. Matcha (Green Tea) KitKat Bar (1 box) – from Hong Kong, also available in Japan

  • These are amazing. Tastes exactly like what it is.

2. Raspberry Passion Fruit KitKat Bar (1 box) – from Hong Kong also available in Japan

  • Amazing…but I like the Matcha KitKat better…personal preference.

3. Black Truffle Potato Chips – from Hong Kong

  • Just opening the bag you can smell the truffle! Nice and salty truffle powder you shake on and it really tastes like truffles!

4. Green Apple Chocolate Bar – from China

  • Haven’t tried this yet…but I will.

5. Yellow Peach Chocolate Bar – from China

  • Haven’t tried this yet…but I will.

6. Tokyo Banana – from Japan (Sorry you just get one banana, not the box)

Welcome back! :D

OK, I have to ask this… How many suitcases you brought back????

BTW, on the top right, is that a California Roll Ruffles? That sounds bizarre, hehehehe.

Looks like you had a great trip!

Mmmm, this is why I love Asia – so many crazy good treats! I really need to go back soon. The Green Tea Kit Kat looks so good…

Welcome back!

We’ll have to catch up when you have time!! There’s a japanese restaurant I’d like to try in Richmond.

Boo, i don’t tweet. Guess I can’t participate in the contest…lol!!

Hope you had a fun trip!!

See ya soon!! :)

Kim – Lol!!! Only a “foodie” would look SOOO closely and notice that lol….YES that is CALIFORNIA ROLL chips!!! The ONLY bag I found in Hong Kong out of like 50 places!

I brought back 3 suitcases…and my mom helped me bring stuff back lol…I left with half of 1 suitcase :)

Victoria – OMG the green tea Kit Kat is delish! I also had Milk Tea Kit Kat which was even better! All the KitKats are amazing actually! I hope you go back soon!! Take me with you!!

3 SUITCASES? Was one full of food or something? Such a dedicated foodie, paying for the extra luggage :P

I’m thinking of bringing back tons of goodies when I go to Asia as well in July/August. :)

Yum! I am so jealous. I’m most curious about the truffle potato chips…sounds so delicious.

waaa…so much food!! if it was me, I wouldn’t do a giveaway and have them all to myself! You are too generous! can’t wait till you blog about HK food!

Kevin – You’re going back! Which parts of Asia!?! So excited for you!! Pack me in a suitcase with you!!!

Colene – yeah those are freaking awesome! They smell like truffle oil!

Tammy – lol! That’s why I’m only giving away ONE Tokyo banana! I can’t bare to let anything go that I haven’t tried…trust me..I was SSOOOOO tempted to keep everything…but half is gone to friends and family already :(

Oh dammit! I just bought a bag of the truffle chips after reading your post because I wanted to try them even tho I never eat chips .. and I didn’t see the little package of truffle powder to sprinkle on!!!! So I ate the whole bag sans truffle powder which kind of defeats the purpose :( What should I sprinkle my truffle powder on now?

Damn, and I thought I brought back a lot of food from Japan.

I couldn’t get enough of those matcha Kit Kats either. Put them in the fridge for extra deliciousness.

11 Mijune May 16, 2010 at 2:10 pm

Mijon – LOL!!!! WHAT?!??! hahahahha it’s so funny because the whole bag has instructions for the powder!! You can put it on instant noodles instead of the MSG they usually give you! Did the chips without the powder still have a naturally truffle taste?

Ed – Omg have you tried the matcha Oreo chocolate bar?! AMAZING! Those are GREAT in the fridge.

12 Victoria May 16, 2010 at 7:38 pm

Wow… I was really hoping you had some GingerAle KitKat in that group. I tried it from the Pocky Shop on Robson but they said they were not getting any more.. :(

13 Mijune May 17, 2010 at 11:42 am

What?!?! No way! GingerAle KitKat?! I definitely didn’t see that one anywhere! I had this amazing Milk Tea Kit Kat bar…I seriously almost fainted when I ate it. I also tried the Appl Kit Kat bar which was amazing a well….I woud like Kit Kat’s so much more if they had more flavours available in Canada…the regular one is good…but just so bllaaahhh compared to what they offer in Asia.

14 Joyce May 17, 2010 at 12:15 pm

Hey, I was told that a candy store at Aberdeen Centre in Richmond sells Japanese candies as well. They should carry these KitKat products.

15 Mijune May 17, 2010 at 7:31 pm

Awesome! I know which one you’re talking about too…I wonder how expensive they are? In that case everyone who doesn’t win one has a good chance of still getting one themselves! Thanks for the tip! I doubt they have any of these items though…except for the Kit Kat bars..they might have that…the other ones I’m pretty sure they won’t.

16 Mijon May 18, 2010 at 12:41 am

Who would think it would be necessary to read instructions to eat a bag of chips??? Boooo .. the chips tasted really buttery and the usual saltiness of chips sans truffle powder. I’ll have to get another bag so I can try with the powder again.
