It’s fine dining in New York, but away from New York. It’s farm to table dining with a location in Manhattan and the other at Stone Farms, which is the recommended full experience. It was definitely one of my better fine dining experiences globally.

The pastry chef and co-owner is Chika Tillman, hence the name ChikaLicious. The divey looking location is unassuming and all the desserts are gourmet, made in house with high quality ingredients and at fine dining standards.

If I wasn’t a local, I would have assumed it was Thai food for Westerners judging by its name. If it was called Chaiyaanuntchanipornsupaporn Likes Thai Food, I maybe more convinced, but it is pretty good and legit.

With 90%+ on Urbanspoon and 80+ votes I was hoping I would find a hidden gem and neighbourhood favourite. I like to think they tried, but the menu was way too big and there were a lot of shoutcuts.

Basically it’s the cheap sushi restaurant you go to when Sushi Garden turns you down. It’s no fuss, bang for your buck sushi, and it does the job on a dime. I’d stick to the rolls, more so than the sashimi, but it’s all passable for the price.

Merry Christmas Eve Follow Me Foodie Readers! We’re only a day away and I’m already thinking about leftovers. I made a version of this Turkey Eggs Benedict on Stuffing “Biscuit” last year and I plan to do it again! Hope you try it too!
