Dear Follow Me Foodie readers, Twitter followers and overall supporters,

Please welcome the new addition to the Follow Me Foodie family! In the next while I’ll be introducing official Follow Me Foodie videos to this blog! Don’t worry, nothing will change with this blog and I’ll still have my essay like restaurant posts and photos with every video. I just wanted to shake things up and make it more fun, visual and interactive. Think of this vlog series as “Food in the City” or FOODIE in the City from a food blogger’s perspective… who is me! In the shoes of a food blogger…

Tasty adventures will take place in and around my hometown of Vancouver, BC as well as abroad. This video was a sneak peek at what’s ahead and I hope you’re as excited as I am for what’s to come. I’m so lucky to have the creative minds and talented support of Justin from www.threesixtyphoto.com and Steve from www.stevetan.net. This project wouldn’t have happened without them, so please check them out.

Congrats, Mijune!! What a fun idea, I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with. I have thought about doing videos also but you truly need to have help in order to do it. I am a one-woman operation with a lot to still learn πŸ™‚
Good luck on this next venture

  • Mijune says:

@Kristi – thank you Krisit! This is actually a very old post and the series has already launched! You can check out all the videos on my youtube channel: FollowMeFoodie.

I’m a one-woman operation too, but the crew came later! I started off doing videos with just a friend holding the camera… I still do that sometimes! You can as well! The blog is still one woman operation andI still have tons to learn too πŸ™‚ Good luck Kristi!

Just watched you on Recipes to Riches. I thought for sure you would be the top two and really could not decide between the Canadian Pie-in-a-jar and the Maple Pudding. I’m surprised the lemon dish won.

I love your idea of a pie in a jar. My Mom and I make pies every year then freeze them. Mainly, traditional pies like apple, peach, rhubarb and pumpkin. I’m going to try making them in a jar. Probably sometime this winter. We just cleaned up all the pie stuff for this year. Freezer is pretty full and I am pied out! πŸ™‚

  • Mijune says:

@Laura – thank you!! I truly appreciate your support!! Hopefully you might see it one day still! The idea is out there now so I’m glad you’re inspired by it!! πŸ™‚

  • Chuck says:

Mijune, I was so excited to see you on Recipes to Riches. I was calling everyone to tell them you were on TV. Sadly you didn’t win, but I was sure rooting for you. The idea was perfect, I could see your pies in a jar selling like crazy. I think they made a mistake. As a dessert that you would buy in the frozen section yours would sell the best.

Way to go Mijune, it must of been a lot of fun. I was thinking of entering my pulled pork recipe. Looking forward to seeing you again and find out more about being on the show.

    What fun!!!!!

  • Mijune says:

@chuck – awww thanks chuck!!! I really appreciate the support! YOU should have auditioned!!! MMM I LOVE pulled pork!! I’m sure yours is amazing! Did you see the pulled pork recipe that won? They have it posted on the website! They didn’t have a “bread” category… but they would have put you in the “cakes” category if you entered one. Next year! I bet the show will be renewed! Thank you again for taking the time to leave a comment! It was so much fun!! Hope to see you again too!!

I admire your video. As a resident of Calgary Alberta Canada, i ahve to say 2 things. First we suck at the environment by flushing cooland and having no catylitic converters on our tailpipes, and pouring oil into the ground. Seccond, we lack culture. There is more to eat than beef and potatos folks!!!!

If she wants to make videos of eating snake, eel, frog, octopus, and other rare animals that do NOT take a square mile each to raise I say it is good. Soon Canada will find that between rich people, Indians, religious groups, and investors, Calgary Alberta has a major problem. We are running out of land fast.

If she has a decent answer to the lack of room, by alternative food…… I would back her financialy to make some videos of eating alternative foods!

    I hope she emails lavey101@yahoo.com

    Takce care
