The Official Menu for Vancouver’s 1st Annual Foodie Feast

We are proud to present…

The Official Menu for Vancouver’s 1st Annual Foodie Feast

Vancouver’s 1st Annual Foodie Feast is just around the corner on Tuesday March 29 at District 319. With the amazing support for The Greater Vancouver Food Bank we were able to sell out the event in 4 days! The response has been incredible and we are overwhelmed and extremely appreciative with the outcome thus far.

My partner in food coma, Sherman and I cannot wait to showcase the fantastic restaurants and the selected menu we have for this event. We are both very thankful to be well fed so it’s time to return that favour. Also thank you to the wonderful sponsors who have contributed to making this night event bigger and better than we ever imagined.

All net proceeds from the event will benefit the Vancouver Food Bank. Please remember to bring a non-perishable to donate to the food bank and we will also be accepting cash donations at the door. Also we are encouraging everyone to be environmentally friendly, so FYI all you get that night is one cloth napkin. Use it wisely! 😉 It’s a new generation guys, let’s set a positive example. Thank you!

Oh and besides delicious food you can look forward to several prizes throughout the night, live DJ & did I mention a red carpet? We’re going all out!

C’est magnifique, unable to go due to working afternoon shifts, there is a nice variety here and the less known places(El Barrio, One Planet, and Mochikas are going to love the exposure). Looks like it’ll be a great evening. Thanks Mijune for creating this food tour, it’s going to open up some taste buds.People will be twittering ’bout this.
Shu mai, ceviche, albacore tuna, macarons, shortribs, sausages, and duck confit are some classic menu items but I’m sure that their taste proves that Sherman and Mijune chose well.

  • Linda says:

OMG OMG the menu looks like heaven! i’m so sad i won’t be able to attend.. wahhhhh! :'( but i gotta say, your menu is stacked – everything on it looks amazing and if i remember correctly have gotten at least a 4 on your rating system if not more 🙂 my friend actually told me her friend was behind mancakes bakery – i wonder if its the same company lol if it is, one of the owners is an extra for ‘hellcats’ and their bacon cupcake is to die for! i hope its the same one, the logo for it looks so cute!

i really need to check out le belle auberge and mochikas! i missed out on the deal for mochikas a couple of days ago 🙁

  • Jane says:

wow. i can’t wait to go! lol..

humm.. shouldnt the 2nd special item from red star be egg tart? *hoping* . lol.. btw one of the gelato flavors i could think of is tiramisu. it seems like everybody’s favorite.

  • Stash says:

This is going to be AMAZING!
I think there are some tickets floating around if anyone wasn’t able to snag them up in the initial 4 day sweep.

The food lineup is stellar, the atmosphere is incredible, the music will be mind-blowing, and the people will be… the greatest people you’ll ever meet. All-in-all, this is an event that you will NOT want to miss.

  • Anna says:

I want to go, is there any spots available for the waitlist???

  • Dilara says:

wow Mijune the menu looks amazing!! Looks like there’s something to please every palate! So sad I can’t go but I wish you luck – I’m sure it’ll be a smashing success!

  • Amy says:

really dissapointed that there is not even ONE vegetarian item…. no eating for me that night I guess…. why did no one do ANYTHING veg??? pretty ridiculous!!!

  • Laura says:

You bring up a good point Amy and maybe it will be considered for the next foodie feast, but would you be willing to sell your ticket???

  • Mijune says:

@Bow – aww too bad!!!! Wish you could be there!! Hopefully next time 🙂 Yes, we’re really hoping to get some much deserved attention to some of the “smaller guys”… the food will speak for itself :).. however most of all we’re excited just to do this for Vancouver Food Bank!

@linda – omg linda!! have I met you before?! Are you friend’s with Jeremy? me too! Ok now back to food topic lol… aww too bad you won’t be there! You and Bow are my top commenters lol! You have a wicked memory!!! They all did get “very goods” lol!!! That’s okay though we made sure to chose things that are on their regular menu so you can actually go try it… most the things are available on the regular menu. 🙂 xo

@jane – I always tell him to make tiramisu as well but he only does it occasionally 🙁

@stash – you’re awesome!!! I’m totally loving your enthusiasm!!! SO PUMPED!!! 🙂 I love it!

@Anna – there WAS a wait list but we’re completely maxed out now! sorry!

@Dilara – aww boo! No worries! next year!.. or maybe sooner? 😉

@Amy – oh no!!!! Amy!!! that’s awful! Yes it was not catered to vegetarians and we can still offer you a refund if you wish. However the desserts will be up for grabs and maybe the Japanese ceviche can be made without the tuna for you? Oh no!!! Seriously I feel awful! Let me know if you want a refund! To be honest we did ask restaurants to have a couple vegetarians for back ups, but it made things a bit difficult for them and the logistics were hard to work out. A lot of the restaurants we selected the strengths were in the meat department so sherman and I naturally chose those dishes. I’m sorry!! We tried including lots of seafood since we know lots of “vegetarians” will eat seafood… sorry again amy!

@Laura – lolllll aw laura you didn’t get one!?! oh no!! But nice work with your comment! You definitely have dibs!
