I might as well stop beating around the bush and just say it. Expect great food at a great price, but with the standard service you would expect from a Chinese restaurant… which is notorious for not being good. Other than that, it’s a solid find!

Obviously inspired by William and Kate’s Royal Wedding, I’m continuing the theme. They probably didn’t serve guests “Chocolate and Soil”, and too bad too because they really missed out! I’m no princess, but I sure felt like one as I indulged in these impeccable desserts fit for royalty.

Although each location offers a different theme, I do feel that I’m holding on to what Guu used to be, which is a bit better than what it is now. I do still really like Guu a lot, but I was underwhelmed with my experience at this location, which it the original too.

So who’s the new kid on the block? Well he’s Italian. And so is the food! The passion and quality of ingredients are there, but the execution struggles and I’m not sure if people will appreciate the final product or feel it’s overpriced for something satisfactory.
Happy National Pretzel Day! A visit to Auntie Anne’s for some hand rolled soft pretzels. I mean how can you really go wrong? It’s baked bread fresh from the oven and brushed with butter! Delicious! They may not be authentic German pretzels, but when they’re good they’re good.
This year I decided to lay off the rabbit (bad karma), and just celebrate the egg! So here’s my tribute to the runny egg yolk! I introduce “The Egg Yolk Series” – A collection of 12 dishes featuring gorgeous golden flows of luscious silky egg yolk & where to eat them!
Michigan Noodle House is one of Richmond’s hidden gems and local favourites for traditional Cantonese food. They’re most famous for their wontons, congee and hand made noodles and everything on the menu is very affordable.
I have to chuckle at the name. The sign is a summary of what to order, or at least what they specialize in. “Beefy Beef Noodle, Salty Peppery Chicken & Bubble Tea”. It’s casual, open late, affordable and the food is okay with the beef noodle bowls being authentic and quite good.
