So who’s the Jamaican Pizza Jerk here? Meet Bounty! No he’s not a jerk, but he is Jamaican! This is a hidden gem in Vancouver, BC that specializes in authentic home made Jamaican food with some fusion items. Big portions, great price and “yeah man” service!

Welcome to Filipino Cuisine 101. I’m definitely not a teacher in it, but it’s actually my first blog post for Filipino food so I’m pretty excited! If you’ve never tried Filipino cuisine, here’s an introduction! Kumare is an authentic and modern Filipino restaurant & bakery.

Everybody knows Bread Garden, but who knows “BG Urban Cafe”? Bread Garden has gone through a complete makeover and it’s now called “BG Urban Cafe”. With a new menu and logo here are some old and new favourites!
I remember coming here back in University and I haven’t been back since then. I don’t really know how to say this, but Migz BBQ was more or less BBQ for college kids. It’s a pub, sports bar, and restaurant, but they specialize in barbeque.
I was actually surprised to see so many Chinese locals eating there because honestly I found almost all the dishes I ordered catered to Western tastes. Their award winning Juicy Pork Dumplings are very good, but there are better in the city.

It’s that time of the year again and the Summer Night Market in Richmond, BC has begun. And what part am I interested in? Well the same part you’re interested in! The food of course! Here’s a sneak peek at what there is this year!
The place looks relatively clean, spacious and comfortable, but the food was a step up from Floata Seafood Restaurant. Okay, it wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t good either. It’s offering a really good deal on Alaskan King Crab, but that’s about it.

This time I tried the regular menu at Wild Rice Modern Chinese. Of course I appreciate the philosophy of local and natural ingredients, but overall the flavour still has to come together to justify the cost, and it doesn’t always do that for me here.
