It’s a popular hot spot & local favourite in Portland, Oregon serving eclectic tapas inspired by local ingredients for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. It’s definitely a neighbourhood and local favourite and it’s one of the less obvious choices for tourists too.

I didn’t even take my intended whiff of the air before I was hit with the wonderful aromas of a rich and hearty breakfast, which was also once featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins on Dives. This is a Portland tradition and must try!

Oh so this is what Britney Spears was referring to when she sang the lyrics “Gimme gimme more, gimme more, gimme gimme more”! Oh god, more mama! Please! The savoury food is as amazing as their pies deemed “best in Vancouver”! A must try!

When a place can afford to open only for a few months in the summer, selling essentially one product, you know it’s got to be something really good and they’re doing something right. And boy is Dolce Gelato doing something right!

Being that I’ve only tried a couple restaurants on Bowen Island, I will predict that Miksa is good for what’s available. The food was hit and miss, but it was creative and there was effort, althought it didn’t always work. It is their trendy “place to be” restaurant with a fancier menu and prices.

It is probably one of the most popular and well liked Shanghainese restaurants in Richmond. It’s one of my go-to’s although I like to switch things up and try new places, however if it’s a big group, nobody ever objects to this as a dinner spot.

My experience with the food was better than my frist, and perhaps it was because I got to try a lot more things. That being said, it also means the dishes are hit and miss, and you have to be selective with your ordering.
