My Follow Me Foodie Favourites & Best of 2012! I prefer calling it my “favourites” or most “memorable” experiences, but I’ll include “the best” just because I’m weak and want to align with every other “best of 2012″ list out there. This is a recap of my delicious 2012.

The following restaurants are located around Kuta which is the most popular tourist town in Bali. Places like Uluwatu, Seminyak and Jimbaran have some of the nicest beaches and the ambiance just trumps all. These restaurants are focused on resort dining where the nicest beach comes before the nicest plate of food.

This is really just a small taste of what Bali has to offer and it’s much much more than just the food. From international cuisine to local Indonesian favourites, the following restaurants are located in Ubud which is a small town known for its arts and culture scene in Bali. This is Bali in a blink of an eye!

The ambiance, food, and service wasn’t particularly out of this world, but it was the overall feel, quality and freshness of food that made it a memorable experience. It was a well thought out and manageable menu with no short cuts, and there were modern twists to keep things interesting and current.

This is the Christmas gift box from Beaucoup Bakery. I was pretty blown away with these baked goods. Most of the items were American classics, but everything was made with very high quality ingredients and French techniques.

As a carnivore, I thought The Acorn was very good and it’s ahead of most if not all Western vegetarian restaurants in Vancouver at the moment. I felt perhaps the attention to costs limited the potential of a dish and attention to detail, but I wasn’t disappointed and I would go back.
