2011 Follow Me Foodie Favourites & Yearblog

Happy New Year! Welcome to my Follow Me Foodie Favourites & Best of 2011! This is a recap and yearbook/yearblog of the BEST Follow Me Foodie (FMF) Food and FMF Foodie Moments in 2011.

I wrote a Follow Me Foodie Favourites & Best of 2010, so I decided to do another one this year. I don’t even know where to start. It’s been a crazy year, and I’m so grateful for everything that has happened with this blog. I’ve loved every minute of it (even the parts where it hurt to laugh because I was so full) and I’m so happy to have shared these delicious moments with you. Thank you for following me foodie and cheers to another year of gastronomic indulgence!

NOTE: IT’S NOT NECESSARILY “THE BEST“, BECAUSE FOOD IS PERSONAL AND I CAN ONLY DISCOVER SO MUCH IN A YEAR. THESE ARE JUST SOME WORTH MENTIONING IN MY BOOKS… OR BLOG? BLOG. IT’S MORE OF A 2011 RECAP/SUMMARY. ALL EXPERIENCES ARE FROM 2011 ONLY.

@bel – Do it!!!! I’ll introduce you to so much more than just desserts!!! We have an awesome food scene!!

  • Mohamed says:

Absolutely wonderful! I love sweet and tangy items – so the Lemon Tart looks great. I will have to drive out there and have a try. The Triple Cream Cheese Citrus Bar looks delicious as well, as did the Saint Honoré Cake (something you could probably make at home easily).

BTW – found your site after looking or the best dessert places in Vancouver. Bookmarked and shared with my Facebook friends!

  • Mijune says:

@Mohamed – wow!! You did??!?! I’m very thankful! I’m so happy you enjoy this blog… it’s my passion and life!

  • Mijune says:

@Mohamed – wow! Saint Honore I consider a true test of a pastry chef… pastry, cream, cake… making everything from scratch is difficult! Try ordering a lemon tart from Kitchening with Carly too… it’s not advertised so you have to custom order it! Just put the name into google to find her site :)… I have a blog post on it too.

  • Narci says:

If those dessert places you have mention are the best in Vancouver, it means you never tried the cakes from Transylvanian Traditions Bakery! Check here http://www.transylvaniantraditions.com and you wont resist!

  • Mijune says:

@Narci – Hi Narci! I actually have! I like their slavic rolls, but the tiramisu was just okay. I thought it was good value.

  • John Little says:

When I am in Vancouver I always return to two patisseries for the best desserts in town……Patisserie Lebeau and Patisserie Bordeaux. They both make mouth- watering desserts that are superior to all others.
