What happened yesterday in order to make this happen TODAY!
Follow Me Foodie to the 1st Apple Pie In-A-Jar Sampling!
In celebration of February being Apple Month, BC Tree Fruits and I have teamed up for an Apple Pie In-A-Jar sampling at the Salty Tongue Cafe!
Above is the Canadian Pie In-A-Jar, not the Apple Pie In-A-Jar
So what’s an Apple Pie In-A-Jar? Well it’s basically a take on my Canadian Pie In-A-Jar that was featured on Food Network Canada’s Recipe to Riches! It’s now NEW and IMPROVED (even from my last updated recipe, because there is always room for improvement!) and ready for your consumption!
The Apple Pie In-A-Jar is no ordinary apple pie. It has an almond crust, Mexican vanilla bean and cardamom spiced Ambrosia and Gala apples, a crispy salted buttercrunch layer and a maple cinnamon creme brulee to top things off.
We invite you to join us!

congrats on such an amazing event today Mijune! 🙂 i ended up buying a couple of jars and a bag of love crunch too! i can’t get over how delicious your pie is… definitely like eating a yummy apple pie with melted ice cream which for me, is HEAVEN! my bf ate one of the jars today and he really liked it too! he thought the buttercrunch tasted a bit like caramelized corn flakes and the sauce was his “milk”… perfect for breakfast! he literally said “it’s really good!”.. we’re eating the second jar tmr 🙂
your presentation for the pie was great – so cute! i luv that you donated the proceeds to the food bank! 🙂
i’m so glad we finally met today.. it’s been a long time coming.. i think i started reading your blog last year and from that day on, i haven’t stopped! a lot of people don’t really measure up to how they really are online, i know from bad experience, but you.. you ms. Mijune, are just as kind, caring, thoughtful and grateful online as you are in person… you really care about your readers and your humbleness after all the fame and popularity you’ve garnered these past few years makes me believe that no matter what you do in this industry or another, you’ll succeed with shining colours! thank you for letting us into your world of food and sharing your passion with us everyday.. I really appreciate all the work you put into this blog and all the events you put on.. congrats again on selling out on the jars today .. you and your pie deserve it 🙂
Mijune, I am so sorry I missed this event. It sounds like it was amazing. We actually had driven in to Vancouver early to go to Granville market before coming to the Salty Tongue but we both got soaked while walking our dog along the seawall and had to go home. Arghhh…. I have to start dressing better for this weather. I’m glad you had a great time introducing your beautiful dessert to your fans. I was looking through the Open Road magazine we are sent from BMW and low and behold I saw your picture and write-up on your blog….. that was a really neat surprise. I had to show it to Bruno and my mom….. both were very impressed! Like the old Virginia Slims advertisement says, “You’ve come a long way baby!”.
