The 1st Annual Crave: Dine Out in Burnaby Heights!
Follow Me Foodie to CRAVE – April 24-26, 2012
Craving something new? I am! All the time. It’s the 1st Annual Crave event happening in Burnaby Heights. It’s similar to the ever so popular Dine Out Vancouver, but just in another area and with free parking (for those who drive). The event is Tuesday April 24 to Thursday April 26 and participating restaurants are offering $15, $20, and $25 3 course set menus. To see the restaurants and their menus see here.
Although I have my differences with set menus, I am eager to try the restaurants in the area. Actually, I can’t wait to try them with or without this event. I know the area, but I haven’t really dined that much in North Burnaby, so this is a great reminder for me to change that.
The restaurants in the area are pretty diverse and whenever I drive by I want to make a pit stop at every one I see. Treading on new territory is dangerous for any foodie. From Thai, Japanese, Italian and Indian there are lots of family friendly and cozy mom and pop type restaurants in The Heights.
I encourage you to venture out of your regular dining routine or comfort zone and explore other areas. Yes, downtown Vancouver has some amazing restaurants, but if you keep going to the same place you’ll never know what else is out there and it could very possibly get better. I’m not guaranteeing anything, but you never know unless you try.
Follow Me Foodie’s Crave Contest!
On behalf of Burnaby Heights and Follow Me Foodie, we’re giving away $50 to a restaurant of your choice participating in the Crave event. Please see here for the participating restaurants and their menus.
