What the phở?! What is this Vietnamese noodle bowl?

Well first off, let’s start pronouncing it correctly. In Vietnamese it is pronounced f-uh not foe, just like Canadians say “about” not “a-boot”. Many of us are in love with phở already, and hopefully see it as more than a cheap eat or late night meal. Actually, what I really hope, is that we don’t understand phở as “Vietnamese beef noodle soup”, because it’s not.
