It’s not too “Asian night club” and has just the right amount of “hip” factor to make you want to stay for a while longer, or even bring your family. In a way it really reminds me of Pearl Castle. It’s clean, comfortable and the meals are decent and so affordable that you can’t really complain.
Bubble Tea
It’s that time of the year again and the Summer Night Market in Richmond, BC has begun. And what part am I interested in? Well the same part you’re interested in! The food of course! Here’s a sneak peek at what there is this year!
I have to chuckle at the name. The sign is a summary of what to order, or at least what they specialize in. “Beefy Beef Noodle, Salty Peppery Chicken & Bubble Tea”. It’s casual, open late, affordable and the food is okay with the beef noodle bowls being authentic and quite good.
Delicious cuisine is a popular restaurant for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. It’s one of the few in Metro Vancouver and I’m definitely curious enough to make plans to come back. Here is a series of very traditional dishes typical of Taiwanese culture and food.
Although most known for their bubble tea, I’d say they’re equally as popular for their Taiwanese cuisine. It’s a quick, casual, budget friendly and it recently won the Diner’s Choice Award for “The Best Taiwanese Cafe & Bubble Tea” at the HSBC Chinese Restaurant Awards.
It’s the most popular bubble tea franchise in Metro Vancouver. Although it specializes in bubble tea it also offers a good variety of casual Taiwanese snacks and hot food. Some consider it the “McDonald’s of Bubble Tea” I wouldn’t necessarily agree.
A rather new Japanese style “Tapas” place in Richmond, BC. For all I know the owners, chefs and cooks could very well be Japanese, however it didn’t come through in the food. It was a typical casual Japanese style cafes, but I felt shortcuts taken.
