McLean’s Restaurant, Bar & Custom Deli is located in gastown in downtown Vancouver. This post reviews their house made desserts: trio of sorbets, bread pudding, creme brulee and chocolate mousse. The red beet sorbet was my favourite.

Tapastree is the definition of a local gem restaurant in Vancouver. It’s tucked away in a secret, but also not so secret location in the West End in downtown Vancouver. It’s definitely a local favourite with a warm and cozy atmosphere and the menu hasn’t changed too much in over 12 years. They do offer new and creative daily specials though.

Yes – I’ve only been there once, but that one time I’d say it could possible be one of my favourites and best restaurants in Vancouver – especially for authentic and traditional Japanese food with a contemporary twist.

Coast Restaurant, the high end Glowbal restaurant, is known for their seafood. I have to admit when it comes to restaurant decor and design Glowbal is pretty much untouchable. Even if you don’t like their food you can’t ding them for their atmosphere.
