Surrey

It’s under new ownership! Outside the restaurant was a massive banner advertising an all Day Breakfast Combo for $3. There’s not much more to say, but if you’re looking for something cheap, it doesn’t get much cheaper than this and it was good for $3!

Food Network’s popular show Diners, Drive Ins & Dives and host Guy Fieri recently came up to Vancouver, BC for a visit. Here are some places I think Guy Fieri missed and what he needs to come back for! Follow Me Foodie Diners, Drive Ins & Dives are…

It’s been voted as “Best of Surrey” since 2002 to 2006 and I just didn’t get it. The prices are very affordable, but they skimped on some ingredients and quality, so I have to say “you get what you pay for” rather than “it’s a bang for your buck”. Japanese in Surrey does get better.

I can’t deny that it does have its strong following considering it’s been open since 1996. That was before I was born! Lol, just kidding, but did you believe I was 15? Anyways it is likely a neighbourhood favourite and gem for those who would never really leave the area for food.

The ambiance is all modern art and retro memorabilia. I’m a fan of Andy Worhol, so I loved it! The food is made in house and it’s modern diner food, but still very casual. I had more expectations for the food, and it’s not bad, but I enjoyed the experience more.

Whalley may not suggest exquisite food, but I’m convinced it has some great eateries at a great price too. I don’t question that Surrey has great Indian food to start off with, but there are ones that stand out above others. This is probably one of them.

The quality and flavour of food they’re producing could kick some serious downtown a**. They make me tempted to host a “Follow Me Foodie Throw Down”. The must try items this time are the Pulled Pork Chili & Sandwich, Stuffed French Toast & Pumpkin Cookies!

It was everything an excellent Vietnamese restaurant should be. Shady, sketchy, cash only, Christmas light decor and serving cheap home made Vietnamese food in generous portions. Full of Vietnamese locals and possibly the best pho I’ve had!
