Did you see that?! I’m not kidding. That was my breakfast after breakfast too. I’m not complaining, but there was a lot of food and it was only day 1 of Follow Me Foodie in New York. I anticipated on starting slow, but my first stop upon landing was straight to Do&Co Event and Airline Catering.

Happy National Fried Chicken Day! 10 “Must Try” Fried Chickens!

I’m not obsessed with finding “the best fried chicken”, but it’s nostalgic even though I didn’t grow up with it. Manhattan, New York – Yonah Schimmel’s Knish Bakery

There are three places in the Lower East Side that are considered New York institutions and this is one of them. A knish is a Jewish American food made famous in New York. It was here that I also forgot my camera and left it sitting on the communal counter right by the door of the bakery.

It was just under 2 weeks in Follow Me Foodie to New York and I was slaughtering the dessert scene, let alone the food scene. This was another recommendation from the head chef at Jean-Georges who happens to have a major sweet tooth, so I went in with confidence!

It was a modern replication of the Japanese country side and how fishermen would grill fish along the shore-side over an open flame by their boats. With fresh seafood surrounding the “boat”, the chefs here cook the food in front of their customers and transfer the dishes on long rowing ores.
