It specializes in Japanese style BBQ which is commonly referred to as “robatayaki” or “robata”. They use “Binchotan” which is a premium quality charcoal made of 80% carbon so it doesn’t have an odour or a flame. It’s a must try.

You might have grown out of the Easter Egg Hunt, but you never grow out of Easter celebrations. And if you do, then you just grew out of fun, so this year you’re going to get back into it! Here are some Easter events happening around town.
I can already hear it. I can hear your gasps. Yes, it’s taken me this long to write a post on Pho Tan Vietnamese because this is my first visit here. I can see why people say it’s “the best pho in Vancouver”, but I actually liked their other items better.
Sun Yee Chinese Restaurant isn’t the best in town for Alaskan King Crab and it’s a very “every day” kind of place, but it’s good for the price and their regular menu seems promising from what I tried and saw on the other tables.
Today marks the first International Macaron Day in Vancouver! Originally known as “Le Jour du Macaron” it was actually a celebration that started 4-7 years ago (debatable) by Parisian pastry chef Pierre Hermé. See macaron promos here!

It’s Alaskan King Crab season and this is one of the best ways to experience head to tail dining for seafood. It’s a meal that requires 6-10 people and almost all higher end Chinese restaurants is offering it from now to April.

This year I was invited to be a guest judge and what an honour it was. What?! You want me to eat 10 mains and 10 desserts made by some of Vancouver’s finest chefs? It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it, so I guess I’ll sacrifice myself.
