This year I was invited to be a guest judge and what an honour it was. What?! You want me to eat 10 mains and 10 desserts made by some of Vancouver’s finest chefs? It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it, so I guess I’ll sacrifice myself.

It’s critically acclaimed as one of the finest and best Indian restaurants in the world. I think it’s worth it if you include all the generous appetizers, great food, ambiance and service, but whether it’s worth the 2 hour wait is the real question.

It was named “Best New Restaurant”, “Best Small Plates”, and “Best New Design”, and it’s modern Chinese done right. It offers Chinese and Asian ingredients presented in small plates with European style, and Chinese and French execution and techniques.
