Pemberton, BC – The Pony Bakery (North Arm Farms)

North Arm Farm is a 60 acre working organic farm that provides many of BC’s restaurants with excellent produce and exotic vegetables. It was a small grocery store, but the back of the store is their full kitchen and restaurant – The Pony. I sampled their bakery counter and want to go back for the restaurant.

The BC agriculture tied together with a multicultural population allows for a very diverse food scene that I am really proud of. Whistler, BC – Bearfoot Bistro Vodka Room/Tasting

It’s an award winning fine dining restaurant world renowned for their champagne selection and wine list. It houses over 20, 000 bottles and is the largest underground wine cellar in Western Canada. It is here I learned to saber champagne and also visited their Belvedere Ice Room featuring 50 bottles of vodka.

Whistler, BC – Araxi Longtable Dining Series

It was a peak to my culinary exploration of Whistler. It was the complete experience and my favourite dining environment in Whistler so far. The menu showcased local ingredients and courses representing local woodlands, pastures and shores so it truly was British Columbian let alone Canadian cuisine.

It has an eclectic wine program, innovative cocktail list, and builds on the idea of French bistro with West Coast flavours. It emphasizes local and sustainable ingredients and showcases Pacific Northwest and Canadian cuisine. It’s a hidden gem in Whistler and one I would revisit.

It is located right in the heart of Whistler Village and it’s one of the top 3 most popular award winning fine dining restaurants there. With clientele from all over the world it plays on the safer and expected side of fine dining, but it’s consistent with the Top Table Restaurant Group name.

Follow Me Foodie to Whistler!

Breathe in. Breathe in the air!!! I was told to breathe in and I did! Ah! Whistler. A week ago I would not have done that. To be honest, even though I live in Vancouver, I’ve only been to Whistler a few times. People ask me “are you a mountain girl or an ocean girl?” And I say “neither, I’m a restaurant girl.”
